"I have just called to set up service that my husband and I are buying. Linda was very kind, which is reassuring considering I just married y'all for the next 30 years! It's important to me that if someone does well, it's recognized- in this day and age, people tend to only focus on the negative. I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with this initial personal experience with Baldwin County Sewer Service, and we look forward to many years to come"

“Living on Fish River is a privilege for me that I do not take lightly. When we first built our home on the River approximately 11 years ago the only available sewer option was a septic tank system. Having completed a BS and MS in Geology earlier in my life I knew that as good as mother earth is, there are limitations on the ability for various soil systems to purify sewage discharge from residential sources. I also knew that sooner than later we would experience the limited capacity that a septic system has in wet environments. Needless to say that happened several times to us and our neighbors. When you do several heavy loads of wash during a wet time of the year, the percolation capability is limited due to the water saturation. Unfortunately the discharge finds the path of least resistance which is usually the surface. Then you experience that too familiar smell of raw sewage and realize that it is headed to the river. Fortunately most of my neighbors felt the same way I did about the river and quality of the water so we asked BCSS to consider laying the necessary lines to provide sewer service. I have been extremely happy with their service for several years now and have the peace of mind that I am doing my part to keep Fish River as clean as possible.”
